Data Deletion
How to remove your Spinveri account and the data associated with it.
Spinveri honors data deletion requests from both Spinveri users and from Meta. All requests are processed within 30 days; most are completed immediately or within an hour.
Delete from inside Spinveri
The fastest way to delete your account:
- Sign in at spinveri.com/sign-in
- Go to Settings → Account
- Click Delete account and confirm by typing DELETE
You will see a confirmation page with a tracking code. The Service immediately revokes any connected Instagram access tokens, deletes your connections, giveaways, draws, comment snapshots, and removes your account from our authentication system.
Remove Spinveri from Instagram
You can also remove Spinveri directly from Instagram. Removing it disconnects Spinveri immediately (we delete the stored access token). To have your data deleted as well, ask for deletion when you remove it:
- On Instagram: Settings → Apps and websites
- Find Spinveri in the list of connected apps
- Tap Remove, and ask for your data to be deleted if you want it gone too
When you ask for deletion, Instagram sends a deletion request to our callback endpoint and we delete your Spinveri account and its data, always within 30 days. Meta gives you a confirmation code and a status link where you can check the progress of your deletion. If you only removed Spinveri without asking for deletion, your giveaways stay in your Spinveri account until you delete it in Settings.
Email request
If you cannot sign in or prefer to request deletion by email, write to privacy@spinveri.com from the email address associated with your account, with the subject “Delete my account.” We will confirm your identity and complete the deletion within 30 days.
What gets deleted
- Your Spinveri user account and auth record
- All Instagram connection records and encrypted access tokens
- All giveaways you created
- All draws (commitments, seeds, winner data, verification pages)
- All comment snapshots fetched on your behalf
- Any subscription record (Stripe customer record is also closed)
- Any exported videos stored on our servers
We retain limited records required by law (such as tax records of completed transactions) for the period legally required. We never retain Instagram comment content, access tokens, or verification-page data beyond the deletion window.
If you entered a giveaway
If you commented on an Instagram post that ran a Spinveri draw, the host can see your entry, and anyone can check whether your username entered on the public verification page during the 90-day audit window. If you won, your username and comment are shown there. Here's how to request removal:
Automatic deletion after 90 days
Your username and comment text are automatically deleted 90 days after the draw. No action is needed on your part.
Request earlier removal
If you want your data removed sooner, you can:
- Contact the host directly (they may be able to remove you from their giveaway)
- Email privacy@spinveri.com with a link to the verification page, and we will work with the host to comply
Your data rights
Under GDPR and similar data-subject-rights laws, you have the right to request access, correction, or deletion of your data. Email privacy@spinveri.com with your request.
Timeline
Most account deletions complete immediately or within an hour of the request. By policy and by Meta's requirement, every deletion is fully completed within 30 days. If a deletion fails (for example, due to a temporary outage of a downstream service), an automated reconciliation job retries daily until completion.
You can check the status of a Meta-initiated deletion using the confirmation code and status URL provided by Meta.
